EMPHASIS ON STEM
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts
(GSEMA), the largest girls-serving organization
in the Commonwealth, is expanding access
to hands-on STEM learning through the
STEM ON-THE-GO van – a mobile learning lab.
The program brings STEM opportunities to
under-resourced communities across Eastern
Massachusetts, prioritizing neighborhoods in
Boston, Gateway Cities, and other low- and
moderate income areas.
“The girls loved the van and seeing all the fun options. The fact
that our schools aren’t doing STEM at the elementary level makes
this an amazing opportunity.” — Troop Leader
