EMPHASIS ON MENTORING
EMPath
Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath)
helps individuals move out of poverty while
equipping organizations with tools to support
long-term economic advancement. WFMA
grants have supported EMPath’s Career
Family Opportunity program in both five-year
and three-year formats and AMP Up,
initiatives that expand access to mobility
mentoring for women working toward
long-term economic stability.
A participant started AMP Up in 2022 unemployed and without
a bank account. First, she secured a part-time merchandise
associate job. By 2025, after graduating from a patient-care technician
(PCT) training program, she secured a hospital PCT position –
then a clinic role walking distance from home. Her monthly income
increased by over 400%.
