This year marks a defining chapter in our history.
In September 2025, we proudly became the Women’s
Foundation of Massachusetts, a name that reflects
the scale of our impact and the scope of our vision.
What began less than a decade ago as a bold idea has
grown into a statewide movement dedicated to
unlocking the economic potential of women and girls
across the Commonwealth.
Since awarding our first grant in 2018, we have:

Positively impacted more than 30,000 women and girls statewide
Committed $12.2 million to nonprofits economically
empowering women and girls
Funded 142 programs across Massachusetts
Your generosity is strengthening academic support at all girls, tuition free schools,
fueling college readiness and long term mentoring programs, expanding
financial wellness education in Central and Western Massachusetts, and opening
new workforce development pathways for women moving toward employment.
You are helping build opportunity, confidence, and long term economic security
for women and girls in communities that have long been under-resourced.
Beginning in 2020, we expanded our presence across the Commonwealth,
from Boston to Barnstable to the Berkshires. In some communities we serve,
the programs we fund are the only ones available to girls, providing safe spaces,
enrichment, leadership development, and pathways to future success.

To sustain and grow this impact, we are strengthening our long-term financial
foundation by building our endowment fund. A robust endowment will ensure
consistent, reliable support for our nonprofit partners for generations
to come, regardless of economic shifts or funding cycles, securing a permanent,
powerful source of investment in women and girls across Massachusetts.
